Chattooga BOE Changes Meeting Date
The Chattooga County Board of Education has changed its June Work Session Meeting from June 13, 2019 to June 20, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. The Regular Session Meeting will directly follow the Work Session. The meetings will be held at the Chattooga County Education Center, located at 206 Penn Street in Summerville.
After driving almost 2 hours to see my granddaughter graduate, you can imagine how I felt to be told there was no designated handicap parking and I would have to park by the ball field and maneuver my wheel chair the best way I could because no one had kept people from parking in the few handicap spaces. This is a shame. One woman in an electric wheel chair actually had a handicapped son in her lap and a blind daughter by the hand as she struggled to get back to the school. Three years ago it was a pleasant expieriece. Tonight, was a joke. I am now driving 2 hours back without being able to see her graduate. This is a disgrace.
