THOMAS L. BLACK

THOMAS L. BLACK, age 62, of C Street, Summerville, Georgia passed away Thursday morning, May 30, 2019, at a Rome hospital.  Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on December 6, 1956, He was a son of the late William (Bill) and Gladys Foster Black.  He was Church of Christ by faith and worked in the Maintenance Department at Mt. Vernon Mills.

            Surviving are his wife Polly Black, a sister Celestine Joner, a brother John Black, a daughter Monike Butler, six stepchildren, four grandchildren and five step great grandchildren.

            Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 1st, 2019, at 3:00 P.M. from the J.D. Hill Memorial Chapel of the Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Minister Jennifer London officiating, interment in the Summerville Cemetery.  Pallbearers are Renderal Adams, Kenneth Adams, Johnny Adams, Kaine Darden, Jonas Darden, and Roger London.
