(Updated) Brice Michael “Mike” McCary

Mr. Brice Michael “Mike” McCary age 60 of Summerville, GA passed away Monday- June 3, 2019 at his residence.

Mr. McCary was born March 29, 1959 in Summerville, GA to the late Roy Clinton McCary, Sr and Carolyn Etta Yarbrough Morrow. He was a retired Mill Wright with Local Union 1263. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by a brother, Clint McCary; and step-father, R. D. Morrow.

Survivors include his sons and daughter-in-law, Matt Bemister, Mitch and Caitlyn Bemister, Jason Cyrus; sisters, Lisa Morrow and Michelle McCary; brother and sister-in-law, Jeff and Michelle McCary; aunt, Brenda Ward; and grandchild, Mackenzie Bemister.

Funeral services for Mr. McCary will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, June 6, 2019, from the Chapel of Mason Funeral Home with Rev. David Hayes and Rev. Allen Young officiating. Burial will follow at Summerville Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Joe Anderson, Chris Petitt, Steve McGill, Matt Veitch, J. J. McCary, and Chase DeBerry.  Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Dale DeBerry, David Pullen, Ronnie Kantorick, and the members of Local Union 1263

Mr. McCary will lie in-state and the family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon until the service hour Thursday.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations be made to Solid Rock Baptist Church at P. O. Box 416 Trion, GA 30753.
