4th Annual Cloudland Fun Run Is Coming Up

Here is some information on the Cloudland Star-Spangled 5K Fun Run scheduled from 6 a.m.-2 p.m. on July 6 at the Cloudland Community Park.

The 4th annual Star-Spangled Fun Run will be held on July 6th, 2019. After the run, there will be activities at the pavilion, including live music, a community yard sale, and barbecue sale at lunch.

>>5K FUN RUN<<
The course is a loop through Gadsden Avenue, Atlanta Avenue, Golf Course Road, County Road 103, and Cloudland Drive of the Cloudland community in both Georgia and Alabama. The course does include moderate to steep hills. We welcome runners and walkers of all paces and experiences, and also children (under 12) on bicycles with helmets.
If you would like to participate in the Fun Run, you may register on our website at www.cloudlandcommunity.wix.com/park/fun-run, or download the mail-in registration form. (Form is available via JPEG on our Facebook page or can be requested via email at CloudlandCommunityPark@yahoo.com) Fees for the run are $25.00 if received by 6/20/19, and $30.00 after this date and the day of the event. Fees must be received with application for registration to be complete. (Fees are accepted by mail or PayPal.) Runners will receive a complimentary t-shirt.

Active duty military, veterans, and active and retired first responders will receive $10 off registration.

The run will begin promptly at 7:30 AM EST, and participants will need to arrive early enough to sign in and be ready to go by 7:00. If you are registering the day of the event, registration will begin at 6:00 AM needs to be completed by 7:00 AM.

One t-shirt is included in registration for the run and in sponsorship, but shirts are also for sale for $15 each. These are available in youth, adult, and plus sizes and must be ordered by 6/20/19.

>>COMMUNITY YARD SALE<<
We are including a community yard sale from 10 AM-2 PM with the festivities this year. Registration is not required and there is no fee for set-up, but donations are accepted and appreciated. Please note that access will not be available from 7:15 AM until the race is over (around 9:30 AM), so plan accordingly.
>>LIVE MUSIC<<
We will feature a performance by the Ukulele Band of Alabama from 11:30 AM – 12:30 AM.
>>BBQ SALE<<
Smoked pork butts ($30), pork loins ($30), and whole chickens ($10) are available for pre-order. Please note these items are available by pre-order ONLY and no extras will be available the day of the event. The deadline for pre-order is 6/25/19. BBQ plates will also be for sale the day of the event for $5. These include pulled pork, bun, slaw, baked beans, chips, and a drink. If you have a larger order of plates (10+), please let us know ahead of time so we can plan accordingly. You may pre-order on our website, by email, or on Facebook.

This event is a FUNDRAISER and all proceeds go to Cloudland Community Park, INC (a 501c-3 nonprofit organization) to help with updates and maintenance to the park.
