William “Fred” Hartline
William “Fred” Hartline, age 82, of Trion, GA, died Friday, June 14, 2019, at his residence.
Mr. Hartline was born October 28, 1936, in Dade County, GA, son of the late William Clifford and Bertha Mae Gass Hartline. He was a member of the Mountain View Baptist Church, and prior to his retirement, was employed as a supervisor with Mount Vernon Mills. Mr. Hartline was also a member of the Senior Center and was famous for his raising of goats. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Roy Hartline; and a great-grandson, Shawn Paul Hartline.
Mr. Hartline is survived by his wife of 64 years, Mamie Bradley Hartline; son, Richard Hartline; daughters and son-in-law, Deborah and Clifton Corwin, Sylvia and Alan Horne; brothers and sister-in-law, Arlice Hartline, Nelson and Barbara Hartline; grandchildren, Christy Slay, Adam Sprayberry, Keith Smith, and Joshua Blackmon; great-grandchildren, Aurelia Slay, Desiree Sprayberry, Bryson Sprayberry, Abigail Sprayberry, Maleigha Smith, and Jensyn Smith.
Funeral services for Mr. Hartline will be held at 4:30 P.M. Sunday, June 16, 2019, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kevin J. Norton and Rev. Malcolm Harris officiating. Interment will follow in Old Trion Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Gene Voss, Allan Baggett, Ed Hampton, Johnathan Roberts, Charles Barksdale, and J. D. Rape. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of Mountain View Baptist Church.
Mr. Hartline will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Saturday
