Love O’Neal “Bill” Tapp
Mr. Love O’Neal “Bill” Tapp, age 86 of Rocky Face, Georgia passed away Sunday, June 16, 2019 at his residence.
Mr. Tapp was born in Trion, Georgia on January 21, 1933, son of the late John Thomas Tapp and Lula Mae Reynolds Tapp. He was a member of the Ridgedale Unity Church of God and was a former employee of Mt. Vernon Mills. He was an amazing father, grandpa and friend, and made a mark on everyone he met. In addition to his parents, Mr. Tapp was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Jean Miller Tapp; a daughter, Bonnie Carol Seiber; sisters, Alice Tapp Chapman and Carol Tapp Craig; and brothers, Thomas Tapp, Jack Tapp, Sam Tapp, Eddie Lee Tapp, Leroy Tapp and John David Tapp, Sr.
Mr. Tapp is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley and Johnny Brooks, Kimberly and Matthew Davis; Sons and daughter-in-law, George and Cynthia Hodges, Bill Tapp and Chip Tapp; son-in-law, John Sieber; sisters and brother-in-law, Wanda Lee Tapp and Martha and Donnie Brooks; 17 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mr. Tapp will be held Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at 3:00 P.M. in the Petitt Chapel of the Coffman Funeral Home with Rev. Matthew Evans and Rev. Billy Wright officiating. Interment will follow in the Spring Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Caleb Sieber, Kevin Seiber, John Sieber, George Tapp Hodges, Steve Morrison and Herman Hatfield. Honorary Pallbearers will be Johnny Brooks, Dewayne Asher, Jim Davis and Matthew Smith.
Mr. Tapp will be in state at the Coffman Funeral Home where the family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.
