(Updated) Mrs. Joan (Henderson) Ratliff

Mrs. Joan Henderson Ratliff age 71, of the Holland Community, passed away Monday- June 17, 2019 at her residence.

Mrs. Ratliff was born February 15, 1948 in Summerville, GA to the late Elisha Paul and Cecil Annie Elizabeth Gayler Henderson. She was retired from Mohawk after 39 years of service where she served as the accounts payable clerk.  She was a member of New Hope South Baptist Church.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by a sister, Josephine Ratliff and brother, Johnny Henderson.

Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Mike Ratliff; daughter, Brandi (Jason) Harris; sons, Shane (Emily) Ratliff, Bobby (DeAnna) Ratliff, and Billy (Mitzi) Ratliff; brothers, Greg (Kathy) Henderson, and Sidney (Linda) Henderson; sisters, Edna (Gene) Cavin and Anne Strawn; grandchildren, Carter Montgomery and Branson Ratliff.  Several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday- June 21, 2019, at the Chapel of Mason Funeral home with Rev. Barry Brown officiating. Burial will follow at New Hope South Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Shawn Henderson, Scotty Cavin, Nathan Henderson, Tommy Strawn, Billy Ratliff, and Steven Henderson. Honorary pallbearers will be the staff of Amedisys Hospice, Michael Montgomery, Paul Brison, Mose Adams, Jim Clark, Alan Green and Richard White.

Mrs. Ratliff will lie in-state and the family will receive friends at Mason Funeral Home Friday from 12:00 Noon until the service hour.
