Dan Smith

DAN SMITH, age 87, of James Street, Summerville, Georgia passed away Tuesday morning, June 18, 2019, at his residence.  A native Chattooga Countian, He was born to the late Jesse and Lucille Smith on June 6, 1932.  Mr. Smith was a contractor for 45 years, a member of New Faith Tabernacle, and was preceded in death by his wife, the late Mary Ruth Bing Smith on February 21, 2014; He was also preceded in death by sons-Ronnie Smith, Sr., Larry Smith, Sr., and siblings-Frances Maton, Charley Wayne, Arnold Smith; granddaughter-Joanie Mae Hathcock, and great grandchildren, Chloe Hearlson, Alisha Rolison, and Ritchie Humphreys, Jr.

            Surviving are daughters, Nelda Lindsey, Denise Ramey, Tina Hearlson, Kay Bates, Joan Hathcock, Mary Kirby; sons, Danny Colvert, Kenneth Colvert, and Michael Colvert; sisters, Charlotte Wallace and Jessie Willingham; 30 Grandchildren, 59 Great Grandchildren, 13 Great Great Grandchildren; Nieces and Nephews; special friends, Mark and Lisa Fiolich also survive.

            Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Earle Rainwater Funeral Home.
