Jimmy Russell Stevenson
Stevenson, Jimmy Russell, age 70, of Old Hickory, TN, died June 25, 2019 as a result of a motorcycle accident. Jimmy was an active member of Green Hill Church, where he was a member of the Security Team and was a member of the Men’s Sunday School Class. He was retired from UPS after 36 years of service. Jimmy loved God, his family and his country and was honored to serve in the Tennessee Air National Guard after 40 years. After his retirement from the 118th Airlift Wing at Berry Field in Nashville he continued to support his unit by organizing and sponsoring the annual Christmas party for his fellow retirees. Jimmy was a member of the Donelson/Hermitage Exchange Club. He was a devoted family man and loved to travel with his wife, Donna. Nothing made Jim happier than spending time with his family. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, spending time at the “ranch” with his donkeys and horses and his beloved dog, Trace. Jimmy was the son of the late, Richard and Jean Holt Stevenson. He was also preceded in death by his son, Jimmy Russell Stevenson, Jr. and his brother-in-law, Eddie Tidwell.

Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, June 29, 2019 at Green Hill Church, 13251 Lebanon Road, Mt. Juliet, TN with Pastor Daryl Crouch officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Branton Lamberth, Braelee Lamberth, Bryce Lamberth, Braxton Lamberth, Brian Coulter and Stan Holt.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday one hour prior to services Saturday at the church.
