(Updated) Robert Holland Strawn
Mr. Robert Holland Strawn, age 62, of the Holland Community, died Saturday, June 29, 2019, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Mr. Strawn was born on the 4th of July of 1956, in Summerville, GA, son of Doris Jean Pursley Strawn and the late Robert Harvey Strawn. He was a member of the New Hope South Baptist Church and was a self-employed farmer with Strawn Brothers Farm.
In addition to his father, Mr. Strawn was preceded in death by his daughter, Mary Louise Strawn Bishop; and granddaughter, Miriam Otting.
Mr. Strawn is survived by his daughter, Holley Strawn (Kevin) Gilliland; a brother, Marcus Strawn; sisters, Regina Vaughn and Gail Daniels; and grandson, Holland Tyler Bishop. Several cousins, nieces, and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Mr. Strawn will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, July 6, 2019, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the New Hope South Baptist Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Marcus Strawn, Tyler Bishop, Lamar Pledger, Greg Dotson, Lee Armstrong, and Wyatt Strawn. Honorary pallbearers will be Dennis Bullard, David Pullen, Kenneth Ledford, Chris Johnson, Conley Martin, Steve McGill, David Fletcher, Roger Womack, Jerry DeBerry, Steve Stallings, Joe Anderson, Billy Callahan, and Roger Brison.
Mr. Strawn will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. on Friday.
