Marianne S. Wilborn
Mrs. Marianne S. Wilborn, age 60, of Lithia Springs, GA passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2019.
She was born on July 31, 1958 in Tucker, GA. Marianne was one of the sweetest people you could have ever met. She was quirky, driven, and always there when you needed her. She was also very considerate, always sending a special card for any occasion. She enjoyed completing puzzles and playing board games. Scrabble was her favorite and she went to the Senior Center every Tuesday for the past year to play. She also enjoyed reading novels and traveling.
Marianne received a Bachelor’s Degree in Management from the Georgia State University in 1988. She was an employee at Georgia Power for many years as a Clerical Secretary and Marketing Representative. She later worked as a librarian for Harvester Christian Academy. She also taught 4th and 5th grade Sunday school and was a part-time Children’s Nursery Director at First United Methodist of Douglasville. She was a member of the Peachtree Pilot Club and the Bunco Group.
Mrs. Wilborn was preceded in death by her husband, Brad Wilborn and her mother, Ann Anderson.
She is survived by her sons, Jay and Chase Wilborn; her father, Bill Sears; her sister, Stephanie Sears; and many other loved ones and friends.
The family will be having a memorial service on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at First United Methodist Church of Douglasville at 11:00 am with Rev. Brett DeHart officiating. There will be a reception following the celebration of life at the church. Her inurnment will be scheduled at a later date.
