Granville Anthony “Tony” Gilley

Granville Anthony “Tony” Gilley, age 58 of Menlo, passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at his residence following an extended illness.
Tony was born in Summerville, Georgia on June 10, 1961, son of Alice Sue Bailey Gilley and the late Billy Don Gilley. He was a member of the Chelsea Baptist Church and prior to retirement, was co-owner of T.I.C. Electrical in Lafayette. Tony was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed Fishing and Turkey and Deer Hunting. He loved wildlife and hated to see their habitation destroyed by timber cutting and logging. Tony was preceded in death by his father, Billy Don Gilley; wife, Freda Lynn Martenn Crabtree Gilley; grandparents, Zeke and Jessie Gilley and Howard and Bonnie Bailey; and and several aunts and uncles.
Tony is survived by his daughter, Brandi Gilley; brother, Randy Gilley; mother, Sue Gilley; step-children, Dee and Christine Crabtree and Lynn and Mickey Rose; former wife and mother of his daughter, Brandi, Tina Brown Gilley Chapman; granddaughter, Alyson Christol; 3 Step grandchildren and 3 step great grandchildren.
Funeral Services for Tony will be held Sunday, July 7, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. in the Petitt Chapel of the Coffman Funeral Home with Rev. Bud Martenn officiating. Interment will follow in the AMI Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Chris Blanks, Brian “Tuna Fish” Johnston, Dewayne “Dee” Crabtree, Ricky Sumner, Eric Reynolds, Ramar Joyner, Steve Clowdis and Matt Veatch. Honorary pallbearers will be cousins and close friends: Danny “Dad” Deering, Fulton Burnett, Steve England, Steve McGill, Marty Ray Green, Brian “Bubba” Echols, Terry Don Smith, Lamar Love, Bud Willis, Stacy Mitchell, Mark Goodson, Paul Hosmer, Joe Smith, Jabo Crider, Jackie Pritchett, Carlton Vines, Debbie Sumner, Tim Cooper, Sammy Goodrich, Mark Ballard and Kelly Harris.
Tony will be in state at the Coffman Funeral Home where the family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M.
