Suspicious Men Visiting Local Homes May Be Scammers
Two men wearing Atlanta Braves ballcaps walked up to Beverly McDougal’s Knollwood Circle residence on Sunday and stated that they work for AT&T and that they were trying to get people’s information, according to a Chattooga County Sheriff’s report.
“Ms. McDougal advised that one male had black shaggy hair and the other had blonde hair and was tall. She also advised that they got into a newer model SUV. Ms. McDougal also advised that they had been to her mother’s residence in Dry Valley as well. She advised that she wanted a report entered for future reference and to let people know that it appears to be a scam,” Deputy Marvin Armstrong III stated.
