J.W. Russell

J.W. Russell, age 79, of LaFayette passed away Friday, July 26, 2019.

He was a member of Sunnyside Baptist Church and retired from Southwest Motor Freight.

He is survived by his daughters, Tracy (Steve) Barnes, Sherry (Anthony) Wallin, and Chandra (Ray) Weaver all of LaFayette; sons, Chris (Pam) Russell of LaFayette and Scotty (Celina) Russell of Trion; nine grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; sister, Ann Clifton of LaFayette; brothers, Albert Russell and Kenny Russell both of Chickamauga; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday, July 27, 2019 at Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Randy Avans officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service after 4 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
