Chattooga BOE Proposes To Cut Millage Rate
The Chattooga County Board of Education is proposing to cut its property tax millage rate.
The board is proposing to rollback its millage rate by .088-mills. This will be the sixth straight year the board of education has cut its millage rate.
The proposed millage rate is expected to generate $4,573,276 for the schools. That’s $34,911 more than last year. The county’s tax digest saw a small amount of growth this year.
