James Stanley Morgan
James Stanley Morgan, age 69, of LaFayette passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2019.
Stanley was a member and deacon of Center Point Baptist Church. He was a Vietnam veteran of the U.S. Army and for over thirty years Stanley was the district manager for Dollar General.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Gail Cooper Morgan and his parents, James William and Clara Elizabeth Morgan.
Stanley is survived by his nephew Wess (Wendy) Collette of Summerville; fiancé, Yuvonda Forrest of LaFayette; sister, Jimmie Gail (Harry) Davis of Summerville; brothers, Gary (Sherry) Morgan of Summerville, and Jerry Don of Rome; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 3rd at 2 p.m. at Center Point Baptist Church with Pastor Alan Flowers officiating.
Private interment will follow in the Center Point Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Wess Collette, Dan Reed, Craig Smith, Steve Gaither, Charlie Eaton, and Leon Franklin.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
Arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, LaFayette.
