Ingles Grocery Store Receives Counterfeit Money
A local grocery store received a counterfeit bill on Tuesday night, according to Summerville Police reports.
A co-manager at Ingles Supermarket told officers that a customer gave the store a fake $100 bill. The man purchased $7.27 worth of items and the clerk gave back change. The transaction was caught on a security camera, Officer Matt Wilson reported.
The incident is under investigation. Officers have identified the man who gave the fake bill to the store.
