Jesse Eugene (Gene) Alexander
MR. JESSE EUGENE (GENE) ALEXANDER, age 87, formerly of Chattooga County passed away Thursday, September 12, 2019. He was born on September 8, 1932 son of the late Jesse LaFayette and Maggie Hollis Alexander.
Mr. Alexander served in the United States Air Force, earned a Masters degree in English from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee and also earned a Bachelor of Art degree from the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia. He was employed as a Computer Operator and worked in Data Processing and Bookkeeping.
Surviving are daughter, Laurel V. Alexander of Douglas Georgia, brother, Lebron Alexander of East Ridge, Tennessee
Funeral Service will be held Saturday, September 14th, at 11:00 A.M. from the graveside with Lee Elrod officiating, Interment will be in Howell Cemetery in Trion, Georgia.
Earle Rainwater Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
