Dorothy Marie “Dot” Murphy

Mrs. Dorothy Marie “Dot” Murphy, age 84 of Gaylesville, AL passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at her residence.

Mrs. Murphy was born in Limestone, AL on November 6, 1934, daughter of the late Dorris Montgomery and Alice Montgomery. She was a member of the Teloga Baptist Church and was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Murphy was preceded in death by three brothers, David Montgomery, Alvin “Alvie” Montgomery and Gene Montgomery; sister, Edith Montgomery, and a granddaughter, Stephine “Boots” Hughes.

Mrs. Murphy is survived by her husband, Kellett Murphy; daughters and sons-in-law, Connie and Earl Bramlett, Audrey Brock, Jeannie and Jackie Corbin, Goldie Hames, and Ginger and Steve Marshall; sons and daughters-in-law, Danny and Sandra Murphy, Randy and Gail Murphy and Marty Murphy; 13 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Murphy will be held Thursday, October 3, 2019 at 4:00 P.M. in the Petitt Chapel of the Coffman Funeral Home with Pastor Tony Weaver and Mr. Darwin Blansit officiating. Graveside and Interment services will be private.

Pallbearers will be Shannon Murphy, Willis Hames, Ryan Murphy, Taylor Ethridge, Dennis Hughes, II, Dillon Smith and Denver King. Honorary Pallbearers will be members of Teloga Baptist Church.

Mrs. Murphy will be in state at the Coffman Funeral Home where the family will receive friends Thursday afternoon from 2:00 P.M. until the funeral hour.
