Lady Indians Lose In State Tourney

The Chattooga Lady Indians fell in the first round of the state tournament to a good Lamar County team, 6-2 and 6-3.
In the first game the Indians were shot out and go only two hits. Ramsey Elrod and Katie Williams got the hits.
Hannah Thrasher pitched for the Lady Indians and gave up six hits and six runs, only two of which were earned. She struck out five.
In the second game, the game was tied after six innings and in the ninth inning, Lamar County put up four runs to take the game 6-3. Chattooga added one in the bottom of the ninth.
The Lady Indians garnered five hits during the game with Hannah Thrasher, Emma Howard, Ramsey Elrod, Jacie Martin and Kayleigh Byars all getting one hit each.
Clara Wyatt pitched for the Lady Indians and surrendered six hits and six runs.
