Dreamer’s Outreach Hosting Cancer Survivor Celebration

Dreamer’s Outreach Inc., is hosting a free cookout for the public in celebration of cancer survivors on Oct. 26 a Kuzzins, 150 Hemlock Street, in Summerville.

Dreamer’s will give away at least $1,000 to the Cancer Navigators of Rome as part of the outreach’s one-year anniversary, according to organizer Maurice Martin.

“Wear your pink,” Martin said.

The event starts at 4 p.m. and there will be free barbecue and food. They will also have a pink balloon release.

“This is to promote breast cancer awareness,” Martin said.

They will also light candles for cancer survivors, he said

“We are going to recognize our survivors,” Martin said.
