Pumpkins Are Missing In Downtown Summerville

Someone is stealing pumpkins from fall decorations constructed in downtown Summerville, according to police reports.

The city has encouraged people to build fall displays around town. However, someone is stealing the pumpkins, Summerville Police Lt. Tim Fulmer reported.

The Chattooga County Commissioner’s office, across from the theater building, is one of the victims. Martha Tucker, the county clerk, said someone stole a large pumpkin from a fall/Halloween display that she had prepared on the sidewalk in front of the business.

“The complainant advised that another merchant had advised her that someone had also stolen a pumpkin from their Halloween display,” Lt. Fulmer said.
