Adams Said Family Member Pulled Knife On Him

A Summerville man pulled a knife on one of his family members on Tuesday night, according to Chattooga County Sheriff’s reports.
John Adams said he saw a family member smoking “what looked to be marijuana” outside the house. The man smoking was told to refrain from using illegal drugs on the property. The smoker then left and came back later. He started smoking again.
Mr. Adams confronted the family member again. This time the family member went into the house and grabbed a large knife and stated he was going to kill Mr. Adams.,” Deputy Derek Mitchell reported.
“It was at this time Mr. Adams went to his room and retrieved his pistol and returned to the living room and told [the family member] to leave the house,” Deputy Mitchell stated.
The deputy is taking out warrants against the family member, according to a police report.
