Collie Mix Attacks Summerville Man

A black long-hair Collie mix dog attacked a Cleghorn Street resident on Saturday afternoon, according to Summerville Police reports.

Phillip Jennings said the Collie walked through his screen back porch and tried biting him around 5  p.m.

“[Jennings] showed [me] and Officer Ricky Van Pelt two scratches on his left forearm area where the dog had scratched him. [Jennings] advised that this was not an isolated incident. He also advised that he has tried contacting Chattooga Animal Control but has never gotten an answer or seen one of their officers,” Officer Steve Bates reported.

Cops searched the area for the Collie but could not find it. They even talked with someone people in the area to see if they knew who owned the dog.
