Bittings Apartment Burglarized Tuesday

A Bittings Avenue woman said someone broke into her house Tuesday morning and stole money, according to Summerville Police reports.

Francis Darden reported around 8:05 a.m. that someone broke through the rear door to her apartment by prying the lock. She discovered that someone took $100 worth of cash and two direct deposit paycheck stubs.

“Ms. Darden stated that she was gone only for a short period of time during which this burglary could have happened. The damage to the door was photographed. Ms. Darden could not name any possible suspects at the time of the report,” Summerville Police Officer Matt Pritchard stated.
