Summerville Police Reports . . .
The following reports were noted by the Summerville Police Department during the past few days:
*Charles Turner, of Spearmint Trail, said he accidentally left his front door open all night and awoke around 4:30 a.m. to realize that someone had entered his residence and had taken his $150 cellphone from the living room. He was also missing $25 worth of shaving supplies and aftershave and cream.
* Tyler C. Stewart, of Cedar Avenue, said that is applied for an online loan on Saturday. A person called claiming to be from that loan company. That person then tol him to go to Walmart and purchase a $380 gift card and send it.
“When victim was asked to do this again, he became suspicious and upon contacting his bank he discovered that two fraudulent checks had been deposited via a mobile application into his account (one for $559.35 and one for $379.05 and then made some type of online withdrawal for $380,” Det. Brian Ozment stated.
