The Trion Town Council unanimously voted to name the bridge on Club Drive.
“I have one thing. I was approached and asked that we name the bridge going to the golf course. Babe Willingham was the state engineer and Bud Tinney oversaw the construction. I was asked if we could possibly name that the ‘Babe Willingham – Bud Tinney Memorial Bridge,” Trion Mayor Larry Stansell asked the council.
They agreed with him. The mayor said it would cost the town very little for a sign.
The bridge is located on Club Drive.
