Traveling Art Exhibit At Paradise Gardens

Paradise Garden is thrilled to announce its current Visiting Art Exhibit, featuring the Art of Jim Shores, which is open to the public now through Thursday.
Jim Shores is an artist from outside of Rome, near Cave Spring, and is known for his found-object sculpture, assemblage and environmental art from found/discarded objects. He has work in the permanent Folk Art collections of the High Museum of Art (Atlanta) as well as the Polk Museum (Lakeland, Fla.) and the House of Blues (Orlando, Fla.), and in many private collections around the country.
Works will be available to purchase, with 20 percent of the proceeds benefiting Paradise Garden. Admission into the Gallery, located inside the Visitors Center, is free during regular business hours. Admission into the garden can be purchased in the Gift Shop.
A closing reception will be held Dec. 7, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. with complimentary snacks, hot chocolate bar, craft activities, and evening tours of the garden, decorated in holiday lights, included with admission.
Bring a friend, get inspired, and make some art! As always, kids under 12 are free and furry friends are welcome.
Call the Paradise Garden Foundation for more information at 706-808-0800.
