While a local man slept, someone removed his pre-paid credit card from his hoodie pocket yesterday, according to Summerville Police reports.
Brandon Swinford was sleeping in his truck outside someone’s apartment on Scoggins Street. While he was asleep, someone entered his truck and removed a Visa pre-paid card from his hoodie pocket. The thief then made three transactions for $286 at Walmart.
The thief then returned the VISA card to his pocket. Swinford has a suspect in mind.
“[Swinford] further advised that he would attempt to get some type of documentation from the company that services his card that details the amounts, dates, times and locations of the transactions,” Detective Brian Ozment stated.
