(Updated) Dewilton “Walter” Raulerson

Mr. Dewilton Walter Raulerson, age 81, of Gaylesville, AL, died Thursday, January 2, 2020, at his residence.

Mr. Raulerson was born July 31, 1938, in Okeechobee, FL, son of the late Flossie Estelle Raulerson.  He was a member of North Summerville Baptist Church, and prior to his retirement, worked as the General Manager of Plantain Snack Food Company.  He was also a veteran of the United States Army where he served as a Paratrooper.  Mr. Raulerson was an avid rancher and enjoyed the outdoors.  In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his step-father, John I. Dykes.

Mr. Raulerson is survived by his wife, Nancy Singuefield Raulerson; sons, Walter William “Bill” (Celeste) Raulerson, Gary Allen (Cindie) Raulerson; brothers, John (Carolyn) Dykes, Mickey Dykes, Charles (Dianna) Dykes, and Frank Dykes; grandchildren, Brenden Raulerson, Calen Raulerson, Caleb Raulerson, and Breanne Raulerson.

Memorial services for Mr. Raulerson will be held at 2:00 P.M. (EST) Monday, January 6, 2020, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kenny Roach and Rev. Tom Russell officiating.

There will be a gathering of family and friends at Mason Funeral Home from 1:00 P.M. (EST) until the hour of service on Monday.
