Cops Investigating Odd Call At Local Mexican Restaurant
Cops were called to the downtown Mexican restaurant after someone allegedly fired a gun outside Tuesday evening, according to Summerville Police reports.
Officers arrived at the rear of Los Maguey’s Mexican Restaurant and talked with Kelly Stokes, of Summerville, who said he and his wife had been eating lunch there for more than eight hours. They had also been drinking, according to Officer Steve Bates.
Around 8:30 p.m., Stokes said someone fired a gun about 12 feet from his truck. Officers never found a shell casing, even though Stokes said the shot came from a .25 caliber semi-automatic pistol.
After more discussion, officers learned the shot allegedly happened two hours earlier, according to a police report.
“No evidence or witnesses were found at the scene,” Officer Bates stated.
sounds like a fantasy conjured up by a drunk patron. . . .
After eating lunch and drinking for eight hours, one might hear and think anything. Hope they didn’t drive home.
