Delores Ann Gilreath Gilley

Mrs. Delores Ann Gilreath Gilley, age 82, of Summerville, GA, passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2020, at Redmond Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Gilley was born August 10, 1937, in Summerville, GA, daughter of the late Lee Burke and Ortha Powell Gilreath.  She was a member of New Hope North Baptist Church, and prior to her retirement, was employed with Wal-Mart.  Mrs. Gilley had also formerly owned and operated Gilley’s Grocery.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Granville “Bud” Gilley.

Survivors include her son, Michael (Tammy) Gilley; daughter, Lynn Gilley Hughes; brother, Billy (Jane) Gilreath; grandchildren, Brittany (Jeremy) Nelson, Joshua (Erica) Hughes, Michelle (Justin) Stone, Sydney Gilley, and Aven Campbell; 11 great-grandchildren; and special friend and caregiver, Tammie Gentry.

Funeral services for Mrs. Gilley will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, January 18, 2020, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Randy Avans and Rev. Bobby Lemons officiating.  Interment will follow at AMI Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Justin Stone, Marc Hogg, Tim Hogg, Jamie Cavin, Randy Gilley, and Jeremy Nelson.

Mrs. Gilley will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Friday.
