Shoplifter Tries Taking Food Chopper & Animal Feeder
A 27-year-old Menlo resident is accused of trying to scam Walmart out of a food chopper and a large animal feeder, according to Chattooga County Sheriff’s reports.
Hannah Caitlyn Elrod, of 594 Edison Street, Menlo, allegedly changed the label on a Kitchen Aid food chopper so it would scan at a lower price, according to Deputy Rebecca Farmer.
An employee also noticed Elrod held a small cat dish label over a larger feeder so it too would scan at a lower price. The items were valued at $56.85, according to a sheriff’s report.
Elrod was arrested for shoplifting.
