Violet Rammie Parsons
Mrs. Violet Rammie Parsons, age 91, of Summerville, GA, died Wednesday, February 5, 2020, at Erlanger Health Systems, Chattannooga.
Mrs. Parsons was born September 21, 1928, in Summerville, GA, daughter of the late Harlan Lee and Nettie Louise Donald Kinsey. She was a homemaker and was the oldest living member of Fisher’s Chapel United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Parsons was preceded in death by her husband, John Howard Parsons; daughter, Patsy Willingham; brothers, A.L. Kinsey, Jack Kinsey, R.W. Kinsey, and Herman Kinsey; a sister, Thelma Owens; and granddaughters, Lori Hobbs and Glenda Dyer.
Mrs. Parsons is survived by her sons, Lee (Elaine) Parsons, John (Shirley) Parsons, Mike (Sandy) Parsons, and Tony (Dana) Parsons; daughters, Linda (Charles) Harris, Janie (Spencer) Harp, Millie (Thomas) Farmer, Martha (Dale) Chastain, Wanda (James) Sutherland, Mary Hendley (Edward Holland); a brother, Eugene (Gloria) Kinsey; sisters, Dorothy (Marion) Broome, Sue (Odis) Hughes; 20 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; and several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 8, 2020, from Fisher’s Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Tom Farmer and Rev. Ray Teems officiating. Interment will follow in Fisher’s Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Parsons will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Friday, February 7, 2020. She will also be in state at Fisher’s Chapel United Methodist Church from 1:00 P.M. until the hour of service on Saturday.
