Roads still good, but drive with caution

UPDATE: The Georgia Department of Transportation is salting Hwy. 48 on Cloudland.  Public Work Director Joe Reed said the county trucks will salt the secondary roads on Cloudland and around Hwy. 157.
Chattooga County Public Works Director Joe Reed says despite the snowfall so far, roads are still passable.
However, the roads on the mountain and heading up to Cloudland on Hwy. 48 are slushy with the snow.
County work crews are monitoring the roads as the snow falls.
