Johnny Clay Wynn
Bro. Johnny Clay Wynn, age 59, of Lyerly, GA, died Friday, February 7, 2020, at Redmond Regional Medical Center.
Bro. Wynn was born July 11, 1960, in Chicago, IL, son of the late Jerry Wynn and Jo Ann Doegg Bachelor. He was a member of Berryton Baptist Church, and prior to his retirement, was employed with Mohawk Industries. He was also a former pastor at Pennville Baptist Church. Bro. Wynn was an avid fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide and Coach Nick Saban. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Jerry Hill and Joe Wynn.
Survivors include his wife, Pat Fowler Wynn; sons, Shane (Joy) McCary and Steven McCary; and grandchildren, Ty McCary, Lucas McCary, Aniah McCary, and David McCary.
Funeral services for Bro. Wynn will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 11, 2020, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Malcolm Harris, Rev. Robert “Dugan” Brown, and Rev. Mickey Skates officiating. Interment will follow in Lyerly Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Eric Ware, Eddie Smith, Kenneth Adams, Harrison Couch, DeWayne Price, and Jason Williams. Honorary pallbearers will be the Men of Berryton Baptist Church.
Bro. Wynn will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Monday, February 10, 2020.
