Floyd Medical Center will hold a free lifesaving training event at Harvest Worship Center in Trion Wednesday night at 7 p.m.
February is American Heart Month. Participants will learn hands-only CPR, early heart attack care and ways to stop serious bleeding. Hands-only CPR has been shown to be just as effective as conventional CPR in saving lives and can be performed easily by any member of the general public who has received training. Hands-only CPR does not require mouth-to-mouth breaths. Early Heart Attack Care (EHAC) can help you recognize the signs and symptoms of a heart attack. Those symptoms are not the same for everyone. Stop the Bleed training can teach the general public how to effectively stop heavy bleeding as the result of trauma. The church is located at 456 Fourth St. in Trion.
