Virus Watch: DFCS

Chattooga County Department of Family and Children services, along with all the other DFCS offices in the state, will not be providing lobby service as of closing today. This is in an effort to protect our constituents and our employees. The best way to apply for SNAP (food stamps) and Medicaid is through online services at gateway.ga.gov . This is also the best way to complete a renewal. If you have documents you need to turn in, they can be uploaded online or they can still be put in the drop box on the side door of the office located at 102 Highway 48, Summerville, GA. We will still have paper applications that can be picked up in our vestibule at the front door of the building. They can be filled out and put in the drop box or mailed to Chattooga County DFCS, 102 Highway 48, Summerville, GA 30747. Our local phone number is 706-857-0817. Additional information…
