Summerville To Hold Special Meeting

The Summerville City Council will meet at 1 p.m. tomorrow at the Summerville Recreation Center to discuss a myriad of topics, according to the official agenda. In new business it includes:

(7) New Business

a. Approve The City of Summerville, Second Declaration of a Local
State of Emergency related to COVID-19 effective Tuesday, March
31 at 5:00 p.m. and continue to be in effect until Friday,
April 24, 2020, at 11:59 p.m. or until extended, rescinded,
Superseded or amended in writing by Council (see attachment):

b. Approve the Amended Chattooga County Local State of Emergency
Joint Resolution, to include Section F, Personal care
restrictions and to extend the State of Emergency,
until April 24, 2020, at 12:00 p.m. (see attachment):

c. Approve payment to Pace Analytical in the amount of
$5,636.00 for PFOS/PFOA testing:(attachment):

d. Approve payment to CCR Environmental in the amount of $11,825
for water quality monitoring at the wastewater treatment plant
(attachment):

e. Approve Emergency replacement not to exceed $115,000 of an 8-
inch high-pressure gas main under East Rome bypass, with a
payment of $80,500 to Southeastern Natural Gas Services of Rome,
and a payment of $30,315.60 to Consolidated Pipe and Supply with
an additional $210.00 per ft rock clause (see attachment):

f. Consider approving the Option to Purchase site #1 for drilling a
test well in the amount of $10,000, if the well is
productive and of good water quality(attachment):
g. Consider approving the Option to Purchase site #2 for drilling a
test well in the amount of $10,000, if the well is productive
and of good water quality(attachment):
