Virus Watch: Still Only One Case; Commissioner Extends Order

Salons, barbershops and other businesses that require physical contact between the provider and client is being asked to close, according to Chattooga County Commissioner Jason Winters.

Commissioner Winters’ order extends the current state of emergency until April 24. Here are the changes according to Winters:

1.) Extends State of Emergency until April 24, 2020 at 12:00 PM.
2.) Restricts personal care services effective March 31, 2020 at 5:00 PM. Section F is below with exemptions.
Furthermore, as of Tuesday, March 31, 2020 at 5 p.m. all personal care service
businesses which require physical contact between the provider and client, but not
limited to barbering, hair design, cosmetology, massage therapy, body waxing or nail care and cannot assure that ten (10) people or less in a location and maintain
at least six (6) feet of distance at all times between people at all times are ordered closed for the duration of this declared state of emergency.
This paragraph shall not restrict any services performed by or under the direct supervision of a licensed medical doctor, nurse, dentist, physical therapist, chiropractor or other healthcare professional.
This is a joint resolution if the cities agree for it to be or they can adapt their own. As they approve it will be for approval for their municipality. This will be for all businesses in the unincorporated areas of the county. We will keep you updated on the approved list for the Joint Resolution.

    Are we only supposed to see emergency cases At the dentist office Because we are still seeing about 30 patients a day and I am concerned on the behalf of this coronavirus about seeing that much people
