Royce Lee McDaniel, 53, Cedar Bluff, Ala., died Monday at UAB Birmingham.
Mr. McDaniel was born Feb. 3, 1967, in Centre, Ala., son of Georgia Crane McDaniel and the late John McDaniel. In addition to his father, brothers, James McDaniel and David McDaniel; sister, Lena Sue McDaniel and a special friend, Lewis Grace died earlier.
Surviving are his wife, Teresa Hudgins McDaniel; son, Ted (Nicole) Hudgins; daughters, Brandy (Jessie) Ballew, Casey (Tim) Mackey, Amanda Lawson, Jessica (Dewight) Eason, Brittany (Justin) Parham; brothers, Frankie (Nina) McDaniel, Lester (Wanda) McDaniel, Buddy (Wendy) McDaniel, Lenord (Shelia) McDaniel; sisters, JoAnn Trotter, Debra (Ronald) Abernathy, Martha McDaniel, Pat Covin, and Joyce Rickett; 15 grandchildren; a chosen son, Preston Pless; and special friend, Ronald Abernathy.
Due to the current health concerns for our community, visitation and funeral services for Mr. McDaniel were held privately for the immediate family only. The Rev. Terry Hawkins officiated. Interment was held privately at Lawrence Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Ted Hudgins, Nathan Weaver, Billy McDaniel, Kevin McDaniel, Austin Hubbard, Buster Hogue, and Kurtis McDaniel.
