Carol Athel Lemming

Mrs. Carol Athel Lemming, age 70, of Trion, GA, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2020, at her residence.

Mrs. Lemming was born June 7, 1949, in LaFayette, GA, daughter of the late Clarence and Athel Ware Collins.  She was retired from Color Spectrum and was Baptist by faith.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lemming was preceded in death by a sister, Sherrol Penson.

Survivors include her husband, James Lemming, Sr.; son, Tony Penson; step-son, James (Robin) Lemming, Jr.; step-daughter, Michelle (Keith) Cordell; 7 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Due to gathering restrictions, services for Mrs. Lemming will be held privately for immediate family only with Rev. David Hayes officiating. Private interment will follow at West Hill Cemetery.  Active pallbearers will be David Williams, Terry Williams, Jeff Maddux, Grant Norton, and Phil Hardin.
