Gorden Beryl Nixon

Gorden Beryl Nixon, age 82, of Rome, GA, died Monday, June 22, 2020, at his residence.

Mr. Nixon was born October 7, 1937, in Menlo, GA, son of the late James and Bessie Duton Nixon.  He was Baptist by faith, and prior to his retirement, was employed as a truck driver with Kerr Ready Mix.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, Doyle Ray Nixon and Donald Beryl Nixon.  

Survivors include his son, Danny Nixon; daughters, Sandra Kelly and Amanda Castrejon; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A memorial service for Mr. Nixon will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, June 27, 2020, at Desoto Park Baptist Church (1107 Cave Spring Road SW, Rome, GA 30161) with Rev. Scott Lambert officiating.  The family encourages anyone in attendance to share their favorite memories and pictures of Mr. Nixon.
