Someone Rings Up A $5,000 Bill On Man’s Credit Card

Glenn N. Downes, of Summerville, said someone illegally used his identity to purchase items from a national retail store, according to Summerville Police reports.

He discovered that someone hacked into his Home Depot credit card account and bought about $5,000 worth of items from a store northeast of Atlanta.

“These transactions were made in the Duluth, Ga., area at stores that [Downes] had never been to,” Detective Brian Ozment stated.
