Thief Takes Chainsaw At Gas Station

A chainsaw was stolen from a truck parked on a Summerville convenience store’s parking lot on Sunday night, according to Chattooga County Sheriff’s reports.

Clayton Wood, of Summerville, said he parked his truck at Wildlife Food Mart around 9 p.m.

“He advised that he was able to watch security footage tonight of the incident. He advised that the footage showed a white male with no shirt on approach his truck from the east side of the store, reach into the bed of the truck, grab a chainsaw and then take off running around the west side of the store,” Deputy Thomas Sainthill reported.

The chainsaw is an orange 44 Husqvarna valued at $500.
