Church Still Has Area For People To Come And Pray

TABERNACLE IS GONE BUT PRAYER AREA IS NOT Church Creates A New 27/7 Area That’s Open To Public (Staff Photo By Jason Espy)

The large wooden structure outside the Summerville First Baptist Church that was dedicated as a space for prayer is gone.
While the former “Tabernacle of Prayer” has been moved, the church still has space for visitors to pray any time of the day or night.
Using the altar previously located in the tabernacle, which stood on the church grounds from 2013 until 2017, church members relocated furnishings to the open porch located on the Georgia Avenue side.
The prayer porch is furnished with an altar and cross, kneeling bench and a Bible turned to John 3:16.
A framed copy of the Ten Commandments is also on display.
