More Than 10 Pounds Of Marijuana Found

A Lyerly couple was arrested for possessing and growing more than 10 pounds of marijuana, according to Chattooga County Sheriff’s reports.
Kimberly and David Wayne Nichols, of 290 Brooks Road, were arrested just before 3 p.m. by drug agents working for the sheriff’s office.
Drug agents during the raid the couple’s residence found evidence that they were packaging the marijuana for resale and had electronic scales.
Deputies also found several growing marijuana plants outside the residence.
Both were charged with trafficking marijuana, possession of marijuana, manufacturing marijuana and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. Mr. Nichols was also arrested for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon because he is on active probation with the state of Georgia, according to reports.
