Carol Ann Martin-Rush

Mrs. Carol Ann Martin-Rush, age 70 of Menlo, passed away Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at the Redmond Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Rush was born in Doylestown, PA on April 6, 1948, daughter of the late Duane Carpenter, Sr. and Katherine Frances Rogers Arnold. She was a member of the Central Avenue Baptist Church, WMU, and the Silver Sneakers. She was a well known seamstress in the area and tailor made numerous outfits and clothing for many individuals. She was a former board member of the Hope Rebirth Homeless Shelter and had served as a secretary for the Chattooga Baptist Association. Mrs. Rush was preceded in death by her first husband, Gene B. Martin, Sr., brothers, Steve Carpenter, Brian Carpenter; grandchildren, Braden Martin, Brad Martin, Blake Johnston, Presley Johnston; and a nephew, Scotty Carpenter.

Mrs. Rush is survived by her spouse Randall “Randy” Rush; sons and daughters-in-law, Gene and Becky Martin, Charles and Donnell Martin; Daughters and sons-in-law, Tammy and Mark Bennett and Patricia and Craig Johnston; brothers, Duane Carpenter, Kevin Carpenter; sisters, Lori Arnold, Deb Boyer and Stacy Heverly; grandchildren, Brannon Martin, Daniel Bennett, Jonathan Bennett, David Bennett and Rachel Bennett; Kayla Woods, Kristyn Farrow, Austin Martin and Emily Blackmon; great grandchildren, Tucker Farrow, Eva Brook Woods, Caleb Martin, Ryan Storey, Jon Storey and Rachel Storey; special great nieces, Nacole Prescott and Mary Strawter; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Rush will be held Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. in the Central Avenue Baptist Church with Pastor Brandon Bishop and Rev. Jeff Duvall officiating. Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Collin Woods, Zach Farrow, Brannon Martin, Austin Martin, Daniel Bennett and Jonathan Bennett. Honorary Pallbearers will be Randall Griffith and Robert Villagomez.

Mrs. Rush will be in state at the Coffman Funeral Home where the family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M.
