Update: Gloria “Patsy” Floyd

Ms. Gloria Patricia “Patsy” Floyd, age 68, of Summerville, GA, died Monday, April 30, 2018, at the Oakview Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Ms. Floyd was born August 17, 1949, in Atlanta, GA, daughter of the late William Hershal and Elsie Marie Russell Reid.  She was Baptist by faith, and prior to her retirement, was employed with Mohawk.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Chuck Floyd; a daughter, Donna Baty; brothers, Tiny Reid and Rusty Reid; sisters, Molly Myers and Susan Kennedy; and a grandson, Jamie Fountain.

Ms. Floyd is survived by her daughter, Stacy Fountain (Charlie Qualls); sisters and brothers-in-law, Jackie (Ricky) Horn, Diane (Jimmy) Holloway; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Rollinson, Patrick Floyd, Lexie Floyd, Maddison Floyd, Cameron Baty, Autumn Fountain, and Addison Fountain; great-grandchildren, Ava Rollinson, and Ella Rollinson.

Funeral services for Ms. Floyd will be held at 4:00 P.M. Thursday, May 3, 2018, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Phil Minter officiating.  Interment will follow in AMI Cemetery.  Active pallbearers will be Keith Brown, Blake Timmons, Patrick Floyd, Micah Jones, Brian Tucker, and Josh Timmons.  Honorary pallbearers will be the staff of Oakview Health and Rehabilitation.

Ms. Floyd will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. until the hour of service on Thursday.
