Park Stabbing Incident Started Elsewhere
A Chattooga County man was stabbed in the upper leg in J.R. “Dick” Dowdy Park around 4:30 p.m. on Jan. 17, according to Summerville Police Detective Brian Ozment. The police department is still investigating. The wound to the man’s leg required a trip by ambulance to a hospital in Floyd County. No charges have been made.
The incident started as a domestic dispute at a residence on Third Street in Summerville. The case, however, is still under investigation.
